Vintage Glider Rally

Last week we attended the Vintage Glider Rally in Bordertown S.A. Wow what a week! 10 days with nothing to do but relax. The Bordertown guys outdid themselves with their hospitality.
Michael and J.R. flew, Ben, Daniel, Amy and Nick drove around retrieving the gliders and laying the cables while Merryn and I sat in the sun and beaded.
The guys finished their week on a high with Michael winning two trophies and J.R. being presented with the books from the maker of his beloved Yellow Witch! We met so many amazing people with so many fascinating stories that I hope will be handed down and never forgotten.
God willing we will all meet again next year to share some more.

These are unique pieces of stone found only in Kerry. I collect them at the beach and they have been buffed by the wild Irish sea to show the veins which run through them. Some Irish people refer to them as the Heart of Ireland and say they have fallen into the sea in search of all those who have left her shores. It is Ireland searching for her lost children, casting her heart out into the world telling all of her love (GRA) for those that left these shore so many years before. It is believed to have a healing power as it brings the wearer comfort and a feeling of being loved.

These pieces are one of a kind not to be found anywhere else in the world. The colour varies from a bright red to a dark blood red. They can be used to create jewellery and would make amazing gifts by them selves.

You will receive 10 pieces and more can be added if you wish. the size varies from the size of a grape to an egg. No two are the same.
